I never imagined being a man that felt the need to mentor others or advise them on how to change their lives. I mean, I spent a lot of my time making my money and finding ways to keep making more money. If I didn’t consider you as family, how you lived your life was not my concern. I made a lot of my money in the streets and when you live a life like that, you focus on your survival. Survival in the streets is crucial and can be deadly. Let’s face it, the streets are mean and they are not a playground.
I was focused on making sure that the money I made took care of my family and my children. I grew up with parents that had struggles of their own and because of them, I never wanted to be without. I never wanted my children to be without and I wanted to help my parents. Simply put, I did what I felt I needed to do.
I’ve done some illegal things, I’ve done some things on the up and up. I’ve been married and I’ve been divorced. I’ve ran a record label, I’ve managed an artist, I’ve spent years in jail and I’ve expunged my criminal record. I have even beat child support, Yes, CHILD SUPPORT!
Listen, I’m not perfect by any means and I will never claim to be. What I am is EXPERIENCED. I have been through a lot of different types of situations in my life. By talking about them, maybe I can help someone out with their life. I want to share what I know with those that need to hear it. I want to tell my stories to those that want to listen. My life hasn’t been easy, but I AM ALIVE.
A lot of YOUNG BOYS didn’t live long enough to be GROWN MEN. A lot of GROWN MEN didn’t live long enough to be GRANDFATHERS. Somehow God saw fit for me to LIVE. So, I wrote this book about my life; telling my personal stories, the good and the bad for others to learn from. I wrote this book to encourage others.
I am a son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a husband and a businessman. I am a MAN that has a lot to say about how I survived the streets of Detroit and about how I Transitioned my life into a LEGAL LIFESTYLE.
